Profoundry is a Scotland-based independent digital consultancy started and run by Col Skinner. We provide a range of proactive digital advertising services to help businesses improve their growth.
I was introduced to the world of digital through a 1-year placement during my Marketing degree. After graduating, I worked for 6 years across a spectrum of digital disciplines in agency & in-house roles. Then, in December 2013, I decided to take control of my working life. I gave up my management job at an agency and started Profoundry with the aim of supporting online brands by personally delivering effective professional digital services.
After a long stint in Manchester followed by Southport, I now call Aberdeenshire my work home and operate out of an office in Aberdeen’s Neospace. However, I still meet with clients across the UK and via Zoom for international clients.
I am driven by opportunities to get under the skin of businesses and like to keep things simple, jargon-free and practical. Digital marketing shouldn’t be an intimidating topic. Success in this field rests firmly on four main pillars; Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver.
During my career, I have worked with clients in virtually all industries from large multinational law firms to local one-man startups.

The Profoundry type and cog are hint back to Manchester, where I founded the business, and it’s industrial past. Whilst the cursor arrow within the cog represents the Digital industry.
I am now based in Aberdeen centre working out of a relaxed and professional office space in Neospace, by the River Dee. I am surrounded by a vibrant community of like-minded entrepreneurs, coffee shops and eateries.
